Hiroaki Morita of Team Ninja revealed on Twitter that a successor to Dead or Alive was under development.
After the publication of the current part of Dead or Alive 6, a small team for updates and development of Dead or Alive 7 were responsible.
But then with Yohei Shinbori, an important member of the creative team retired, which is why the development was finally stopped.
So it should take significantly longer to a new part of the series of fighters.
A later resumption of development is generally not excluded.
